Friday, February 5: FIRST FRIDAY SINGLES DINNER, 6:45 PM
This is a JOINT event between Spiritual Singles and the Singles Federation, which consists of several social and church singles groups in Northern Virginia. This dinner will be hosted by Joe and will be held at Athena Pallas in Arlington, VA. We had an enjoyable time at Athena Pallas for the January dinner with good food and conversation among 16 singles. Athena Pallas serves generous portions of a wide variety of Greek Specialities for about $15 to $20 including seafood, lamb, veal, chicken, beef, pork, pasta, kebobs, casseroles, and vegetarian dishes. This should be another wonderful opportunity to meet new people!

From I-95 and the I-495 Capital Beltway: Take I-395 north from the Springfield "mixing bowl" to exit 8C toward US-1 S/Pentagon City/Crystal City/Reagan National Airport. Turn right at S Hayes Street. Continue onto 18th Street S. Turn right at S Eads Street. Take the second right onto 22nd Street S. Athena Pallas is on the left at 556 22nd Street. Their customer parking lot is right outside the restaurant.

Thursday, February 11: FAMILY CONSTELLATION EVENING, 7:30 PM TO 9:30 PM

Friday, February 26: "TRAVELLERS AND MAGICIANS" - MOVIE NIGHT, 7:30 to 10:30 PM

Set amidst the pristine beauty of the tiny Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan, two men, two women, two journeys are woven into an intricate tapestry of desires as Travellers and Magicians takes us on an adventurous emotional tour through the heartland of Bhutanese Buddhist culture. The movie tells the story of a young man who wants to leave behind his country with its quaint ways and simple joys to find a glamorous new life in America. He shares his journey across Bhutan with a group of travelers, including a monk, who annoys him with irritating truths hidden in a mystical story of magic and desire. It is a multi-layered film, featuring a story with a story. (2003, Rated R, English subtitles, 108 minutes)
This evening should be really interesting and enjoyable when we discuss this movie with spiritual friends. We will also meditate prior to watching the movie and share our responses to it afterwards and socialize.

Saturday, February 27: "BE STILL AND KNOW YOURSELF, " 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Do you find yourself holding to some imagined spiritual ideal, comparing yourself, and trying to get it right? Gangaji (www.gangaji.org) clarifies the meaning of stillness and the danger of using any model for the definition or imitation of truth. She speaks of the urgency to "be still and know yourself as the truth you have been searching for." This evening will include meditating, watching this video of Gangaji, sharing our experiences, and socializing.

Sunday, February 28: SUFI HEALING CIRCLE - DHIKR, 7:00 PM
Come find out how you can taste love and God in your heart during a Sufi Healing Circle - a Dhikr. A tape will be played and a type of meditation called Remembrance will be explained and made available for you to try. Afterwards, if you can stay, you can join in for conversation and healthy snacks.
FOOD: Please bring a light healthy snack to share, and come prepared for tasting the real love.
