Instructions for SUBMITTING an EVENT
or CLASSIFIED AD
(If You Cannot Access the Forms)

If you are having trouble with the Event Submission or Ad Submission Form, carefully follow the directions below.

SUBMITTING A SPIRITUAL SINGLES EVENT

If you are not familiar with putting on a Spiritual Singles event, click here.

(Please do not submit an event until you have secured a location.)

Send an e-mail to Spiritevents@yahoo.com.

In the title of the e-mail, type "Spiritual Singles Event for" and then the date. In the body of the e-mail, type the description of the event in a paragraph using the following format:

  • Day of the week (e.g. Saturday) (followed by a comma)
  • Date (e.g. February 14) (followed by a colon)
  • Title of the event (followed by a period)
  • Time of the event (followed by a period)
  • Description of the Event (3-5 lines)
  • Bio of the presenter (if appropriate) (2-3 lines)
  • Directions about bring food. Usually "Bring dinner foods to share" or "Bring snacks and drinks to share" or "We will order food".
  • Whether or not an RSVP is required.
  • "Questions: Contact" and then include your first name and your e-mail address and phone number.
  • "Location:" and then the city, state where the event will be held. If you are having people RSVP, then list your name or the host's name and contact info here.
  • Fee statement.
    Option 1: For most events "$5 for non-members."
    Option 2: Going to a restaurant "Cost of food plus $5 for non-members."
    Option 3: Attending an event "Admission fee plus $5 for non-members."
    Option 4: If this is a community service event "Free."
    Any other fee statement will need to be cleared with the calendar committee.

In a separate paragraph include:

  • Any Comments pertaining to your event submission.
  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Your Phone and e-mail
  • Whether you are a member of Spiritual Singles
  • The name of the host of the event
  • The contact info of the host (e-mail at least and phone and address if available)

SUBMITTING A CLASSIFIED AD

(Please note that classified ads are Plain text ads of 50 words or less -- $10 for Spiritual Singles members and $15 for non-members. (Long-term Spiritual Singles volunteers get two free ads per year. Event providers get a free ad for the calendar period during which they run their events.) Ads run for one month in e-mail versions, as well as on the web page. (Please allow 1-2 weeks before the ad goes on the website.)

In the title of the e-mail, type "Classified Ad"

In the body of the e-mail, use the following format:

  • Your name
  • Your e-mail address and phone number
  • Whether or not you are a Spiritual Singles member
  • Whether or not you are a long-term Spiritual Singles volunteer
  • Whether or not you are providing an event for the upcoming Spiritual Singles calendar
  • If you are providing an event, the title and date of the event
  • The text of the ad (no more than 50 words). Remember to include in the ad how people can contact you (if appropriate).
